Øya Festival 2019 – a smashing success

Great artists, charming dining areas and parties in tents and halls.
We helped the Øya festival rock Oslo.

The Cure, Ricochets, Robyn, Sigrid and many more experienced a sea of fans who dug their music from the festival’s many stages. Øyafestivalen is 20 years old, and has developed into a well-run music festival where everything runs smoothly.

To be successful with a big festival, it is essential to have the big stars and good food and drink. But in addition, halls, stages, security and tents must be in place. And we at O.B.Wiik were of course on hand to set up the festival.

We rigged everything from small bar tents to large concert halls. Sirkus Scene, was a complete concert hall where artists entertained on a 40 meter wide stage. The club was Øya’s concert venue for electronic productions. Famous DJs delivered their sound from the Club’s more intimate tent of 20×25 metres.

Pleasant pop-up tents, top tents and booth tents were assembled into a village of restaurants. Both musicians and the public enjoyed themselves in the tent city, which had an exciting selection of food and drink. The tents withstand weather and wind and of course stood firm throughout the festival.

We met Arne Leistad Johansen, arena manager for Øya. He had a lot to share. “O.B. Wiik is perceived as professional and structured. They are flexible and solution-oriented when situations and needs arise that require it. We work together with O.B. Wiik to find exciting solutions and test new products. It was, for example, a very fun process to come up with the new solution for the Circus stage this year. O.B.Wiik was very responsive and solution-oriented. And we are incredibly satisfied with the result”, concludes a smiling Arne Leistad Johansen.

One of Norway’s best music festivals, impressed again and we at O.B.Wiik are proud to contribute to a great event. Rock on! Or rig on – as we would say.
