These days, the Høyblokka in the Government Quarter is being restored behind a specially made cloth from OBWiik.
The special thing about the tablecloth is that it has a motif of Høyblokka.
This means that the public can still see the building even though scaffolding has been set up and the work is progressing. Currently, this is a method that is more common down in Europe, but we are pleased that Statsbygg has chosen this solution. This makes the construction period nicer for the surroundings, especially when it comes to a signal building such as Høyblokka.
The cloth is a perforated cloth/mesh (350/380. PVC) with 4 color printing. In total, we are talking about approx. 5600m 2 canvas covering the long sides of the building. Each cloth is 43 meters long and between 125cm and 320cm wide. It takes a bit more work to get it done, but the result makes it worth the effort.
